We are going to take a little break from Design...to have a life moment because this past weekend I got

ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH yes!!! After 29 years (almost 30...but let's not talk about that ;) of waiting for Mr. Right...he is HERE!!!! And of course I had to share with all of you the most amazing night!

If any of you know Brian, you know why we are together...we are PLANNERS ;) And boy did he plan this down to a T! I am PRETTY darn good at finding out EVERY surprise ever thrown my way...but I did NOT see this coming AT ALL!!

I, of course, thought I had planned the entire weekend. It was the weekend of our 1 year anniversary and I had my best friend coming into town, Bill's DISCO birthday party Saturday night, Titans tickets for Sunday (which is actually where we met last year) and I had my photographer friend in town to shoot my work...I mean...I had it all planned out. Or so I thought LOL!

Saturday night we had plans to go to dinner with my bestie and his wife (Dan and Bre) and his good friend from the Coast Guard, Eric (aka Frosty) before the birthday party. So Dan, Bre and Frosty met Brian and I at the house and then we were off to Virago in Nashville!

As we were leaving the restuarant Dan pulled out two blindfolds and told Bre and I that he had a surprise for us. Well me being the OVERLY suspicious person I am immediately thought..."What is going on???"

But we got in the car and Dan started telling Brian where to go...so I just thought the Bestie decided to do something crazy while he was in town. This is TOTALLY like him...and I thought nothing more about it.

We finally arrived at our destination (which was the Titan's stadium on the edge overlooking the river and downtown), Brian got me out of the car and we started walking. He said hold on and then I heard our song (Blake Shelton Who Are You When I'm Not Looking) playing. He came back and took my blindfold off and this is what I saw...

So I immediately look at him and say "What is going on??" Because you know me...I was once again suspicious.

But he just starts dancing with me. He tells me that he wanted to do something really special for our anniversary but since money was really tight right now...this was all he could afford.

So we danced in the candle light while he told me how he wanted to do all these great things for me since it was our anniversary and how the past year has been wonderful and how he wished he could give me all that I deserved...

So once again I was talked out of thinking something fishy was going on and just thought this was the BEST anniversary present ever!!

When the song stopped he said he did have one small present for me...

A RING!!!!!

I was FLOORED!!! I looked at it and thought..."that isn't a SMALL present!"

I, of course, said YES (even though I had to ask later if I actually answered him lol)!!!! So I turn around to jump up and down and yell to Dan, Bre and Frosty "I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!" And when I turn back around to hug him

I hear ALL these people cheering!!!!!!

Everyone was there!!! My parents and brother and his friend, his parents, his best friend, Dan, Bre and Frosty of course and then Kathleen Murray! Kat is my photographer friend who I THOUGHT was coming in to take pics of my work...not of me!!! If you haven't seen her stuff before...click on her name. She is AMAZING!! And yes almost all these photos came from her! He had EVERYONE in on the surprise!!! It was awesome!! And best of all...it was one of our few weekends without Sienna...but then we ended up with her at the last minute!!!
